Designed by a queer LGBTQ artist, this goth aesthetic T shirt symbolizes both LGBTQ+ strength and remembrance with pansies, lavender, and violets - three beautiful flowers that are historical symbols of the LGBTQ+ movement. Made to celebrate the diversity of love, commemorate those that paved the way for where we are today, and be a symbol for what we still have yet to achieve. Perfect for cutie gay goths.

About the flowers:

Pansies have long been associated with homosexuality because of their French name "pensée," which means "thought" or "memory." In the early 20th century, they were used by gay men to discreetly signal their orientation to others.

Lavender, a shade of purple, became a symbol of the LGBTQ+ community in the late 1960s and early 1970s as a result of its use in the gay liberation movement. The color was chosen because it was not traditionally associated with any gender and could be used as a symbol of non-binary and gender non-conforming identities.

Violets were adopted as a symbol because they are referenced in the Greek poems by Sappho, who was known for expressing love and desire for other women. The use of violets as a symbol of lesbian and bisexual identities dates back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
